Gecü went to the UK to receive training in the technique known in Turkish as Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), and in 2018, she founded Journey Academy Consulting Company, headquartered in London.
She received her Trainer Certificate from the Guild of Energists (GOE), based in Eastbourne, UK, and within three years earned the title of the EFT trainer who trained the most EFT practitioners in both the world and Turkey.

In addition to her EFT expertise, she also completed training in the following areas: Enneagram, Public Relations and Advertising, Human Resources Management, Young Entrepreneur Development Program (KOSGEB), Emotional Intelligence and Leadership, Addiction Psychology, Emotional Leadership, and Reflexology.

She completed Gestalt-based Family Constellation training approved by the German Society for Sex Research (DGFS), and Systemic Family Constellation training approved by the International Systemic Constellations Association (ISCA), and began working as a Family Constellation Facilitator. She completed the postgraduate program in Systemic Family Therapy at Oxford Brookes University, which she started in 2024, in January 2025. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Psychology at the University of Wolverhampton in the UK.

In addition to providing EFT and Systemic Family Therapy services, Gecü is also a practitioner of TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation).
