Liberate from Phobias with EFT

About the Session Phobias and intense fears are emotional reactions that restrict daily life, complicate decision-making processes, and significantly lower quality of life. EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) originally emerged through studies on water phobia and has evolved over time into an effective method for working with fears and phobias.

In the EFT approach, phobias are addressed not merely as mental fears, but as stress responses recorded at the level of the body and the nervous system. Therefore, the goal of the work is to establish safe contact with the source of the fear, regulate the stress response in the body, and reduce the emotional burden that feeds the phobia. In EFT phobia sessions, the client is not forced to confront their fear; the process progresses in a manner suitable for the individual’s boundaries and tolerance.

Throughout the sessions, we examine step-by-step when and how the phobia emerged, how it is felt in the body, and which thoughts sustain it. While the nervous system is calmed through EFT tapping and focus phrases, the resolution of intense emotions accompanying the fear is supported. Thus, the individual can develop a more balanced and manageable reaction to fear-inducing situations.

Phobias Addressed with Modern EFT Modern EFT is suitable for working with various types of phobias and fears. The most frequently addressed topics in sessions include:

  • Animal phobias

  • Elevator phobia

  • Fear of spiders and insects

  • Fear of death

  • Dentist and needle phobias

  • Claustrophobia (Fear of enclosed spaces)

  • Flight phobia (Fear of flying)

  • Fear of heights

  • Fear of public speaking

  • Fears of driving and traveling

  • Social phobias

  • Fear of water and swimming

Every phobia is a unique experience. A fear appearing under the same title may stem from different emotional roots in different individuals. For this reason, EFT phobia work is structured according to the client’s needs rather than a standard protocol.

Session Duration and Structure “Liberate from phobias with EFT” sessions last an average of 1 – 1.5 hours. The interval and number of sessions may vary depending on the intensity and history of the phobia, as well as the client’s response to the process. While some individuals experience significant relief in a short time, others may require more layered work.

During the sessions, the client is included in every stage of the process; the purpose and progress of the work are shared clearly. The aim is not to suppress the fear, but to transform the relationship with it and support the individual in expanding their living space once again.
