DOES FAMILY CONSELLATION CURE DISEASES? – AKŞAM

The subject of family sequence in the Olive Tree series has been the subject of research in recent days. Many people are questioning whether diseases such as diabetes, cancer and migraine can be treated with family sequence. EFT Specialist and Family Sequence Facilitator Gülay Gecü, who made statements to Merve Kantarcı Çulha from Aksam.com.tr, explained the curious things about the family sequence through the Zeytin Ağacı series.

The subject of family drama in the series The Olive Tree, starring Tuğba Büyüküstün, has been the subject of research in recent days. In the series, three girls with different stories fix many things about their lives, from illnesses to traumas, with family drama. So, what is a family sequence? Does family sequence cure diseases such as cancer, diabetes and migraine?

Gülay Gecü, EFT Specialist and Family Sequence Facilitator Gülay Gecü, who made statements to Merve Kantarcı Çulha from Aksam.com.tr, explained the curious things about the family sequence in the Zeytin Ağacı series.

PSYCHOLOGICAL ANALYSES FACILITATE HEALING

Stating that diseases have different tasks within each family system, Gülay Gecü said:

‘In cases such as diabetes, cancer, migraine, migraine, gynaecological diseases, we try to understand the message within that system. The important thing is the message of the disease. These messages can be; remembering a forgotten, ignored, excluded ancestor and including it in the system (law of belonging), or it can even be a way of establishing a bond between generations due to the communication disconnection caused by the trauma experienced. Here, instead of curing the disease, when we ask ‘Why did this disease happen to me?’ what is the meaning of this, we prefer to get the answer with our heart. The fact that illness is a physical condition does not mean that it is independent of the soul. At the same time, it is not a situation that we can solve only with the soul. We can easily say that when the body reaches the spiritual analyses that make it sick, it becomes easier to heal.’

CAN THE DISEASE BE CURED WITH FAMILY SEQUENCES?

Stating that it is difficult to cure the disease only with family sequence or different techniques, Gülay Gecü gave the following information:

‘The aim is for the soul to rest, to be free from stress and for the physical body to be ready for treatment. Absolute healing is not the aim of family sequence therapy. What emerges in the field is not always acceptable for the client. When the client refuses to see it, just like the character Ada in The Olive Tree, the process of healing or solving problems is prolonged.’

PROCESS IS IMPORTANT

Stating that the absolute solution is the responsibility of the client, Gecü continued as follows:

‘The main task of the therapist or facilitator is to hold space and guide him/her. There may be a situation such as being even more traumatised by what comes out in the field. Here, it is very important for the facilitator to comfort the client and manage the process. The client, who is even more traumatised, may refuse any kind of support when he/she cannot get out of it.’

HOW DO ANCESTRAL TRANSMISSIONS AFFECT?

Gecü states that family sequence therapy argues that the family system has basic dynamics, there are some rules and when these rules are not followed, the effect of a trauma flows from generation to generation, and explains this situation as follows:

‘The 3 basic laws of family sequence, Belonging, Hierarchy and Balance, form the basis of these dynamics. For example, abortions, miscarriages, stillbirths are often ignored in the generation that starts with our mothers and fathers, our first ancestors in the family. Living children are expressed as if they were the only child in that system. However, every child who falls into the mother’s womb has the right to be included in the system. In previous generations, we can see the presence of ancestors who died/ martyred in wars, who were killed, who were given up for adoption, who were ignored because they had no children or were ill, or who were excluded for a different reason, in the problems of the next generations in order to be included and remembered in the family system. The situation can become more complicated when we realise that the life cycles of the children named after their ancestors are an exact copy of their ancestors. The wisdom of the knowing field always helps us to centre, to balance, to connect with our roots not through problems but through love.’
